Our AI just passed its bias audit. Here's why that matters to you.

We've been building AI into our recruitment tech for a while now. And if you've been following along, you'll know we take the 'responsible AI' bit seriously, not just as a buzzword, but as something that actually affects real businesses and people’s careers.

So we’re happy to confirm that Kyloe's AI candidate ranking feature has been independently audited by Warden AI and we've been awarded their “Assured” certification for bias and fairness. No concerns flagged. No red flags. Just 28 clear passes across sex bias, race/ethnicity bias, and intersectional bias testing.

What actually got tested?

Our AI Candidate Ranking tool (part of Kyloe's AI for Bullhorn tool) helps recruiters screen candidates more efficiently. It evaluates candidate profiles against job descriptions and gives each person a score based on how well they match the role.

Warden AI tested 6,836 candidate evaluations to check whether the AI was treating people fairly, regardless of sex, race, or ethnicity. They also checked for intersectional bias (where different characteristics combine in ways that could disadvantage certain groups).


Why this matters for recruitment.

AI in recruitment isn't going anywhere. It's helping agencies and in-house teams move faster, screen smarter, and focus on the candidates who matter most. But speed without fairness isn't progress, it's a risk.

Bias in AI isn't always obvious. It can creep in through training data, through how questions are framed, or through patterns the system picks up that no one intended. That's why third-party auditing matters. It's independent, it’s transparent and it gives you something you can actually point to when a client asks: 'How do I know your AI is fair?'

The results? Clear across the board.

We've also met the requirements of New York City Local Law 144, a regulation that requires employers using AI in hiring to conduct annual bias audits. Even if you're not in NYC, it's a useful benchmark for what “responsible AI” looks like in practice.
