Meet the team: Martin Wishart

In this weeks 'Meet the team' we meet Martin Wishart, our Teams Lead for Product Sales!

Martin has been with Kyloe Partners since 2016 and seen the company grow from a small team in an office above the soap shop, to having over 55 team members globally and a HQ in the prestigious Custom House.

Find out what Martin's favourite thing about working at Kyloe is, as well as his new routine for keeping up good mental health in lockdown.

What does your role include?
In line with our global Kyloe targets, I'm responsible for product sales to our new and existing clients to increase the use of our products.

What brought you to Kyloe?
I had done previous roles in sales in Aberdeen and other places, and moving home to Orkney I had kind of accepted that I might not get the type of role that I wanted. Saw an advert in the paper for Kyloe Partners, and luckily enough, I got the job.

Favourite thing about working at Kyloe?
My favourite thing about working for Kyloe is working for a global company, speaking to people from all over the world,but being based at home in Orkney.

How have you been keeping busy in lockdown?
Well in March 2020, on the 30th, my son Ronnie was born so I spend a lot of lockdown learning how to be a dad, playing with him, and getting to be a big kid myself at times.

Do you have any tips for keeping up mental health in lockdown?
So these are three things that have helped me when working at home during lockdown:
1. Keeping a routine - every morning I got up and go for a walk before work and likewise after work as well I went for a walk and came back home and
2. Closing the door when I was done at work, to not see the office or desk. Out of sight out of mind!
3. Whilst at work I'd listen to music but whilst away from work I'd listen to podcasts
